day ten

i am so grateful for a God whose creativity did not end on the seventh day, for a God who continues to create each moment of each day, for a God who bestows even but a fraction of that creative gene to creation so that we might share in the task, no...the privilege of co-creating life here on this earth.  isn't that what the writer meant when he said that we were all made in God's own likeness?  i like to think so...

i thank God for closing chapters
for old routines
old comforts
old constants

and i thank God for new beginnings
for new relationships
new jobs
new cities
new friends
new homes
new neighborhoods
new trees
new bugs
new dirt

may we ever continue to co-create with the Artist of our lives...
