more than just the title of a blog

they say these are the best years of my life. although, i've heard that said about pretty much every phase of life. high school was supposedly the best years of my life. college was supposedly the best years of my life. and now, my twenties are supposed to be the best years of my life.

i hate to be argumentative, but i must disagree. i pray that these are not the best years of my life. sure, they're the best so far, but i am chasing a dream much bigger than my life right now and i sure do hope that i get there someday. i want to be able to say at every phase of my life that surely these are in fact the best years of my life.

regardless of whether or not they are the best, i am truly looking forward to looking back on these days. i want every day to be a day of growth and love and grace. i pray that each day is a new beginning, a new step forward toward the person i am becoming.
